€500 FOR KNIFE FINE

Getting caught in possession of a bread knife landed a man with a €500 fine.
Tallaght Court heard that Christy Wall had 97 previous convictions. Wall aged 43 with an address at Nutgrove Crescent Rathfarnham pleaded guilty to possession of a knife at Pinewood Park in Rathfarnham on March 10, 2012 . A garda told Judge John Coughlan that on the above date he stopped Wall and found him in possession of a bread knife.
He said Wall had 97 previous convictions including five for Section 9(1) of the Fire Arms and Offensive Weapons Act, Judge Coughlan fined Wall €500.
