Client is a 43 year old married man.   He was driving into Carlow, on his way to work, in May 2017.  He came to a Junction near Carlow Town, there was a car in front of Client.  There was a Vehicle stopped on the opposite side of the Junction waiting to turn right, the lights were green in favour of our Client but as he approached junction the car, on the opposite side of the road, suddenly drove across the road into our Client’s path.   The two cars collided .  The Driver of the other car immediately jumped out of her vehicle and came over to our Client and and said that she had the green light and that the Gardai need not be informed of the accident.  However, our Client knew that he had the green light in his favour so he rang Carlow Garda Station who arrived at the scene.

We started communications immediately with our Client’s General Practitioner and with the Insurance Company for the Other Side.  They came back to us on the 24th May, 2017 to state that liability would not be an issue on their side.  We received a Medical Report from our Client’s G.P. dated the 14th November, 2017,  who stated that our Client suffered soft tissue injuries to his back and neck.  His back was improving, his neck, however, was showing little improvement at this stage.

On the 11th December, 2017 the Insurance Company for the Other Side came to us with an offer of €14,000.00 for our Client’s pain and suffering together with his out of pocket expenses to include Doctors’ Fees, Chemist’s Bills, Fee on Medical Report.   We consulted with Client who, was very happy with this settlement.  We went back to Insurance Company and agreed the settlement.

We are very happy to say that we were able to give our Client his settlement cheque on the 20th December, 2017 and he was very happy to receive it just in time for  Christmas.
