Not having an NCT landed a man with €100 as a fine in Tallaght Court.  Anthony Woods told Judge John Lindsay that he wanted his case dealt with, but was denying the offence.  Judge Lindsay told him “Then I will have to put it back for Hearing”.

Woods told the Judge “Can you not deal with it now.  It was 6-8 months ago, Your Honour”.  Woods then told the Judge he was pleading guilty.  Woods, 54, from Whitechurch Avenue, Rathfarnham, was accused of having no NCT at Whitechurch Green in Rathfarnham on February 18, 2014.  Garda John Scully told the Court that he stopped Woods in a Nissan Almera at 6.50pm on the above date.  He said the NCT in the car, dated back to 2012.

Woods chose to produce his NCT at Rathfarnham Station, but failed to do so.  Woods told Judge Lindsay that he had got another car since the incident.  Judge Lindsay fined him €100.
