A teenager who became violent when arrested has been sentenced to Community service by Tallaght Court.  Daragh Brown aged 18 with an address at Allenton Avenue pleaded guilty to breaching the peace and failing to comply with a gardas directions at Belgard Road Tallaght on June 26 2011.

Presenting Sergeant Carmel Henry told Judge John O’Neill that the Gardai had been dealing with an incident at the pedestrian crossing on the Belgard Road, she said Brown was acting aggressively and failed to move on when directed by Gardai. 

After his arrest Brown continued to act aggressively when taken to Tallaght Garda Station.  Browne’s Solicitor said his client would be willing to do community service .

Following a short meeting between Browne and the Probation officer Judge O’Neill sentenced Browne to 200 hours with two month jail in default.
