COCAINE CHARGE YOUTH TO FACE TRIAL

A Youth accused of dealing cocaine will face trial in the Circuit Court.  Sean Byrne was allegedly found in possession of the amount of cocaine on the M50, Tallaght Court heard. 

Presenting Sergeant Carmel Henry told Judge John O’Neill in Tallaght that the DPP had directed trial on indictment in Byrnes case.

Byrne aged 20 with an address at Allenton Avenue, Tallaght is charged with simple possession of cocaine for sale or supply at the Ballymount exit of the M50 on December 27th  2010.  Sgt Henry asked for six weeks for service of the Book of Evidence.

Judge O’Neill granted legal aid to Byrne following an application from his counsel.  Judge O’Neill remanded Byrne on continuing bail to a date in May for service of the Book.
