A MAN who was allegedly collecting for a bogus charity had his case remanded for mention.  David McCarthy aged 22 is charged with having a false instrument – a card stating “Support our Summer Camps for children in disadvantaged areas” at Tymon North Grove, Tallaght on April 23,2010.
The case was before Judge David McHugh for mention.  Presenting Sergeant Carmel Henry told Tallaght District Court that the DPP had directed summary disposal.  McCarthy’s solicitor John O’Leary asked for a short remand to take instructions.  Judge McHugh remanded McCarthy on continuing bail for a month for mention.
